Call for Volunteers!

The Diamond State Chapter (DSC) of AACN is looking for a few great members who are interested in expanding their knowledge of AACN and chapters and nurturing their leadership skills to join us as a volunteer member of one of our supportive committees or a board position.

WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE?

• Membership Committee-this group assists with creating opportunities to solicit new members, onboarding new members, and acknowledging members upon renewals
• Social Media- have a knack for TIC TOK, Facebook, and even Instagram? Consider joining our committee and help us sead the great work of our amazing chapter
• Recognition Committee-there is always something to celebrate! Do you like to plan parties? Help us to utilize opportunities and to create spaces to celebrate our great members’ accomplishments: certification, promotions, Beacon awards, Nursing Excellence.. just to name a few
• Education/Symposium Planning Committee-Are you interested in education? Over this last year, we have had a symposium and many successful education sessions sponsored by vendors. Join this committee to help keep us up to date on some of the latest acute and critical care education.
• Board Member- Are you looking for more formal leadership opportunities? We are looking for interested members for who want to be mentored for President or Secretary for 12 months before assuming the role.  You will get plenty of support from previous and current board members. 

 WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT

Committee work is based on the activities each committee has going on at the time. Approximate time 1-3 hours per month which includes the regularly scheduled meeting time and one committee meeting to manage, in addition to some committee work outside of the meetings.

Board members have a larger time commitment including membership monthly meetings.

President – approximately 3-6 hours a month.

Secretary – approximately 2-3 hours a month
