Registered Nurse (RN) – 3B General Medical Unit
Night Shift – (Hours: 7p-7a) Weekend & Holidays per department guidelines.

Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, DE is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our 3B General Medical Unit.
Unit
3B is a 32-bed inpatient General Medical Unit with Telemetry, which provides scheduled and emergent care/procedures on a 24-hour basis. The unit is designed to accommodate 32 patients who need inpatient care for the treatment of their diagnosis.
The scope of services on 3B encompasses a variety of diagnoses/testing including but not limited:
- COPD exacerbation
- Pneumonia
- ETOH withdrawal
- Opioid withdrawal
- Nausea/vomiting/abdominal pain
- Altered mental status
- Osteomyelitis
- Back pain
- Diabetes management
- Cellulitis
The patient population cared for in this area includes adult and geriatric patients. The conditions of patients cared for in this area can be described as fair and serious. The patients are received/transferred/admitted from home, the emergency department, and physician’s offices as well as from other units within the hospital setting.

Education & Experience Requirements:
- Delaware RN License or Compact Nursing License.
- BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date.
- RN must have at least one year experience in acute care or sub-acute care.
- BLS required.
